White Suffolk History
Flock 20
Fairbank White Suffolk Stud was founded in 1984 from Fairbank Poll Dorset ewes and a Kerangie Suffolk ram. In 1993 we sold the entire stud of 200 head to Renrut Stud, Kangaroo Island. The stud recommenced in 1996 again using Fairbank Poll Dorset ewes as a base plus some selected Texel X Poll Dorset ewes. Proven South Australian White Suffolk and 2 Penrise rams were then used over these ewes. In a bid to set a Fairbank type, the stud operated as a closed flock up until 2004 when outcross sires were then introduced. We aim to produce heavy trade to export lambs that are easy lambing and easy care. We maintain a ewe base of between 150 and 180 ewes.
